In the critical period of controlling the outbreaks of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia(NCP), the decision has been made to temporarily suspend public gatherings at Ichijo Temple as of today until further notice, in order to safeguard the health of its personnel and followers.
Special reminders:
1. Participation of followers in the morning and evening prayers at Ichijo temple will be temporarily suspended, but the global group practice online of these prayers will continue as scheduled.
2. On-site participation at Ichijo Temple will also be temporarily suspended for the public lectures on Sunday mornings, the group ritual practice led by Acharya Zhiguang and his Buddhist teachings on Sunday afternoons, as well as the training courses for future Dharma teachers taught by Acharya Zhiguang on Wednesday evenings. The global live webcasts of these activities will continue as scheduled.
Followers worldwide who plan to visit Kyoto Ichijo Temple are advised to put their trips on hold for the time being. However, this will by no means stop our spiritual cultivation, and we will not be truly separated from each other as we can still keep on studying and practicing the Dharma together through the Internet no matter where we are around the world. Your kind understanding and support at this critical moment are highly appreciated. You are also advised to stay on retreat and practice the Dharma diligently at home, and avoid going out whenever possible. Please remember to protect yourself against the virus by washing your hands properly, wearing a mask, and taking other precautionary measures. May you all be blessed, safe and well! May the epidemic be over soon. May our country be prosperous and people at peace!
